Pictures of the Ice...and Jude too

Last night I promised that I'd post some pictures of our little ice in, although Ross just got out to get something we desperately needed, so I guess we're not officially iced in. But, our street is looking pretty scary to drive on...look for yourself

And here are some of Jude today. We're just hanging out, in our pjs and watching Mary Poppins. Maybe ice in days can be fun without a cozy fireplace.

You can really see his front teeth in the last one. Love that gap! It's too cute.

New layout and Iced In

Ok, so I had to stay in keeping with the Christmas season and get a new layout that reflects that. This one is entitled Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, and it's from Hipposcraps.com, which is a neat site. Also, I don't think very many people have the font that I have on here, called Pupcat. It's really the cutest font ever. So, be sad if you don't see it. :)

The update today is...we are iced in! It's been sleeting/freezing rain since about 2:30 this afternoon and our street is a blanket of white ice. Not pretty, fluffy snow, but ice. Yeah, thankfully we've got food and diapers for Jude, so we'll be ok. Although Ross said it should be gone by tomorrow. We'll see. Being iced in is no fun for us because we have no warm, cozy fireplace to sit by.

And I'm still working on my knitting project, but I had to take a break to get my blog all situated. :) I may post pictures tomorrow of our icey winter wonderland if it's worth seeing.

New Knitting Project

Just wanted to give a heads up...if I don't post for awhile, it's because I have started a new knitting project that has a time stamp on it. So, I'll probably be spending most of my free time doing that. I am really excited about it. I haven't knitted in a long time. I find that I get really gung ho about it when I have something specific I want to knit or someone I want to knit for. I couldn't find a pattern of the thing I wanted to knit, so I'm making one up...which I've never done before. I hope it turns out well! I will most definitely post a picture of it when I'm done.

Besides, nothing really exciting is going on. Jude is crawling and into everything and giving kisses and playing patty cake and all these really cute baby things, he changes almost daily. He's looking so much like a boy now and not so much a baby, especially since he has his 4 front teeth now. And he's such a good boy. I can't believe how fast this year has flown.

I promise to get some good pics of him soon.

Thanksgiving...finally

Here are the pics from Thanksgiving. I know I'm terrible, Thanksgiving was over a week ago, but I've only just now had a chance to post them. These are all pictures me and my sister took with her camera, so I didn't get any of the Fergus side of the family. That makes me sad. Maybe next time.

This is most definitely a posed picture my sister took. We were all about some eating, though. And the food was good, thanks Rebekah! It was delcious!Jessie and Jude

He's Finally Doing It!!

.....crawling that is! He's not real great at it, he's still kinda wobbly. But hey, he's crawling nonetheless. Can't believe my baby boy is growing up and on the move! The easy days are over. From here on out, he'll be all over the place. Maybe I'll lose some weight chasing him around!

Yes, my house is messy. Don't judge me, I am cleaning it today. Promise.

I've been tagged!

My sweet friend Ari tagged me to do this thing, well, let me just explain it like this:

1. choose the 4th picture folder on my computer.
2. choose the 4th picture.
3. explain the picture.
4. tag 4 people to do the same.

The 4th folder on my computer was something totally random that Ross put on here, and I have no idea what it is. So, I started from our pictures together. And there were several folders that only had 3 pictures in them! Frustrating! So, I kept going to the next one, hoping that the next one would have 4, and I came across this 4th picture...

This was the day I was shopping for my wedding dress! Obviously that wasn't the dress I ended up wearing. But, this has a story behind it, so let me tell it. We were at David's Bridal. My mom, sister and I. We had been there for HOURS trying on dresses. It was exhausting, frustrating, yet exciting. So, I put on this dress. I originally didn't want to even try it on because Ross doesn't really like the strapless look. (later I found out he really didn't care what style the dress was) But, as soon as I put this on, I felt like it was THE ONE. I felt like a princess in it. I absolutely loved it. But of course, it was too expensive. Way out of my price range. So, I talked myself out of getting it, thinking that the less expensive dress was the wiser choice. I did love my actual dress, I still love it. But, I always wonder what it would have been like to wear the princess dress.

For anyone who doesn't know what dress I actually wore, here it is...

Oh! And I've got to tag 4 people!

    1. Emily Wilson
    2. Kelly Church
    3. Cassie Griffin
    4. Lauren Butler

    Basketball, baby!

We went to an ASU basketball game last night, which was Jude's first live sporting event! Our sweet friends, Lisa and Kevin, invited us and we had a blast! Even though we're not big ASU fans, I love basketball...and realized how much I'd missed going to the Grizzlies games. And I still want to make a Tigers game at least once!!!!! Anyway, as for Jude, he actually did really well during the game. He was pretty mellow until the end, then he started to get excited. Maybe it was the [little bit of] Hawaiian Shaved Ice I gave him, hehe. Oh, and the Red Wolves won, too...by a lot! Yay! The other team only scored like 40 points the whole game. Pitiful! I'd like to think it was because we were there. ha.

Here Jude met Howl. I thought he would be scared (a duck puppet on the computer has been known to scare our little one), but he wasn't. I was so proud!

Can you see his top tooth coming in? :)

The Ferguses + Kevin (and some people in the background)

Also, I told Lisa that if I could help it, Jude would be more into basketball than football...but not if his daddy has anything to say about it!
