Best thing ever

I just have to say that this made me cry because I thought it was/is the most amazing thing ever...and because I was laughing sooooo hard...silently, of course!

Practice makes perfect

Oh, how I am enjoying the photography workshop, given by the lovely and talented Jessica Cudzilo of 503 Photography. Learning about metering modes, focus, composition, lighting and so many other things has my head all jumbled up and completely FULL, but oh how I love it. (...most of the time. Sometimes I am quite frustrated with myself.) And I am told, it will all click and make sense, especially the more I practice. So, guess what I'm doing these days! Practicing, practicing, practicing. Yes, I am taking photos of my boys, but also my hubs, my dog, the trees, and even silly inanimate objects. Here's me putting a few things I've learned into practice!

The adventures of eating breakfast

Life is never dull when you have a toddler! Even eating breakfast can become an adventure.

Sometimes we have just a little taste before digging right in.

Sometimes digging in requires a little force.

Sometimes things are just funny.

Sometimes standing up is fun. (and then mommy says to sit back down)

Sometimes we take reeeeeally big bites.

And then sometimes those bites come right back out.

Sometimes switching hands is essential.

Usually after all this goes on (along with a little eating too), he'll make the sign and say "ALL DONE!"

A day on the lake...

Makes me feel very old! It's the most fun I've had in awhile though, so I'm not complaining. Papa and Nanny took us out in their boat this past weekend and a fun time was had by all!

This is where Jude spent most of his time, sitting on the back with his feet in. He didn't want to get in the water, but had a good ole time of telling mommy and daddy to jump in every 2 minutes! :)

Ezra did not much care for the water or the sun. He loved the boat, though!

Nanny and Papa did some skiing...they were both really good!

This bird in it's nest was really neat!
