A tribute to Mr. Mash

Leo aka Peanut aka Mr. Mash left us on October 2, 2008 to go, not to doggie heaven, but to his new home in Missouri. He was our first foster puppy that we fostered for BoxAR Rescue, the BEST boxer rescue ever. We got him back toward the end of June and he was only a few months old. He was so tiny!
He liked to cuddle up with Fiona, even though back then Fiona wasn't much of a cuddle dog (she is now though). I think he might have thought she was his mama. :)
Not long after he got here, he and Fiona were best friends.

And then Chett came along and they all became buds...eventually :)
There was nothing these three liked more than playing together. I know what you're thinking. How can that little puppy play with those big dogs? He'd have you fooled! He could definitely hold his own with those biguns.
But then there was also nap time. They were three peas in a pod. This was a Sunday afternoon. I guess since they didn't have any real pillows, they'd just use each other as their own. Note the toy that's laying close by. They did this a lot. They'd be playing hardcore and then all of the sudden lose their momentum and fall asleep right where they were playing. It was funny!

But, he was never ours to keep, so we had to let him go. Here is Mr. Mash the night before he left. He had grown so much! He was very much a goofy dog and he drove us crazy...what a mess he was! But, I miss him. I hope he is doing well in his new home. We love you Mr. Mash!

Clothes anyone?

Jude is in desperate need of winter clothes, so if anyone out there has any winter baby clothes they are looking to get rid of (long sleeved shirts, jeans, pants and jackets), age/size 6-9 months, please contact me via email - branrene@gmail.com

We'd really really appreciate it!

Thanks, friends!

There's nothing like a fair

I love fairs. Eating funnel cake, cotton candy, and more delicious fatty foods that will go unnamed is just one reason (the main reason) I go to these things. Thankfully, I married a man who loves fairs, too. So, we decided to go to our small city fair tonight, to eat and eat and do some more eating. I think Jude was equally excited about riding around in his stroller and seeing all the new sights and hearing new sounds. Even he got to eat....but unfortunately for him it was just his sweet potatoes I had packed in his bag for dinner. At least he was eating, too! Don't want him to feel left out. :) He did get a taste of the white power sugar on the funnel cake. Wasn't sure if that was a good idea, but oh well! I think he really enjoyed his first fair.

(yes, Ross shaved his head...love, love love it)

In front of the dart toss game. We were in line to get some food...go figure.

Jude being strolled around. He was really comfy there.

Here are a couple of pics of my boys and their mohawks that were taken the other day--

Just a few recent pictures I've taken...

Nekked baby is the best. Sorry, Jude, I've shown the whole world your sweet baby booty. :)

Our doggies, all cuddled up. They love to cuddle together, so sweet!

Here is a little video of him eating pears. I posted this because his face while eating them is so dang funny!

Celebrations

Last weekend we spent the night in Memphis to celebrate my friends Samantha and Jason's wedding. Of course, my sister can't let a time go by where we're all together and dressed up and not get pictures. She's the picture taking queen. So, we got some. Samantha looked beautiful. Forget it boys, she's a married lady now. Enjoy. :)

So sorry

My sister has informed me that I don't post enough pictures anymore and that's for 2 reasons. 1) I have been super busy with my new job and 2) I hate, hate, hate my camera. Some day Ross and I will own a really nice camera and then you'll probably get tired of all the pictures I'll be taking. I promise, more pictures will be coming soon. Don't give up on me! :) Things should calm down after this week.
